Submission is open!

Important Dates

  • February 1, 2026: Call for abstracts opens
  • February 27, 2026: Deadline to create an OpenReview account to submit abstracts
  • March 13, 2026: Call for abstracts closes at 11:59 pm Eastern Time
  • April 1, 2026: Notification of abstract decision
  • August 10–12, 2026: BioC2026 Conference

Note: The OpenReview system requires submitters to create an account at least two weeks before the submission deadline. Please register by February 27, 2026 to avoid last-minute issues.


Submission Types

Presenters must be in attendance in Seattle.

Short Talk

  • Duration: 10–15 minutes
  • Focus: A package, an application note, or a current research presentation
  • Notes: Presentations seeking collaboration or input from the community are encouraged.

Long Workshop

  • Duration: 1.5–2 hours
  • Format: Interactive workshop
  • Notes: Participants are expected to follow along and perform analyses themselves.

Posters

  • Format: Physical poster
  • Focus: A package, research idea, or other relevant topics.

Package Demos

  • Format: Interactive demo during the poster session
  • Details:
    • Presenters will have a dedicated table
    • Presenters will use their own laptop to demonstrate the package
    • Opportunity to answer questions and discuss design decisions
  • Intent: A drop-in, interactive experience rather than a scheduled talk.

Birds-of-a-Feather Session

  • Format: Free-form, organizer-led interactive discussion
  • Focus: Topics relevant to the Bioconductor community.
